    The Apple iPad digitizer touch screen flex cable ribbon is pretty supple and highly corrosion-resistant. At the top end of the iPad digitizer ribbon there is a metal connector piece instead of the slots on the digitizer flex cable ribbons of other Apple parts.
    The Apple iPad digitizer touch screen is coated with a layer of anti-fingerprint material. Still, it is necessary to put a protective film on the touch screen in order to protect the screen from being scratched or blemished.
