A year after the first initial iPhone's release, the iPhone 3G was unleashed upon the mobile market. It was the same size as it's predecessor with a 3.50 inch LCD screen and weighed only slightly less that the previous model, but the iPhone 3G featured new hardware such as assisted GPS, 3G data and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. This second generation iPhone is not equipped with a front-facing camera, but when it was released in 2008, the iPhone 3G came with the new iOS 2.0, a single core, 412 MHz processor, and 128 megabytes of RAM.
