In late 2008, th fourth generation iPod nano was officially released. The model was returned to the original slim, narrow design with a longer screen and overall thinner preportions. It was available in the original colors and new colors that Apple dubbed "nano-chomatic", and new features included the landscape/portrait tilt-to-switch, refreshed user-interface, and a voice recording option.
