After watching the take apart video, Let's review the guidelines for disassembling the Motorola Droid Step 1: Remove the Motorola Droid battery door and the battery. Step 2: Remove three covers on the Motorola milestone back housing.First lift the camera cover in the middle with a knife, and remove the camera cover with hand. Then remove the top cover and the bottom cover. Step 3: Remove all the seven screws on the Motorola Droid back housing. Step 4: Remve the droid back housing with a tool.Start from the top. Make sure unlock all the small clips undernearth. Then remove the back housing. Step 5: Remove the motherboard of the Motorola Droid.First, remove small components, then lift the sticker right under the battery. Disconnect two flex cables on the motherboard on the left hand side. And remove one screw on the motherboard. Also, disconnect the long flex cable on the right, the flex cable on back of the motherboard and the small flex cable on right bottom side. Step 6: Remove the frame around the milestone keypad.Use a triangular tool to remove the keypad frame. Step 7: Remove the slide rail and the B side housing.First, remove the eight screws connecting B and the front side housing (five on the right, two on the left and one on the bottom). Then loose the slide rail and B side housing from top of the front housing. Disconnect and separate the Motorola milestone LCD flex cable and the motherboard flex cable. At last, remove the slide rail and B side housing. Step 8: Seperate the Motorola milestone, droid LCD and Digitizer. Until now, the Motorola Droid is taken apart into pieces.
