    The Palm Pre LCD assembly is made of the front housing, the glass lens, the LCD screen and the digitizer touch screen. The LCD is Sony-branded with the part number ACX567AKM-7 while the digitizer is capacitive touch screen that features high touch sensitivity. The front cover is adhered together with the glass lens as a unit. It feels quite smooth.

    When installing the Palm Pre LCD & digitizer, we need to place the charging port into the right hole of the Assembly, and then press the four corners of the motherboard with four fingers ensuring the motherboard is pressed smoothly.
    When installing the Palm Pre LCD assembly flex cable to the motherboard, try to use a tool such as nipper to fasten the ribbon.

  • Palm Pre LCD & Touch Screen Compatibility:

    The Palm Pre LCD is compatible with the Palm Pre Plus, but the digitizer is not.

  • Palm Pre LCD & Touch Screen Storage Guidelines:

    When placing the Palm Pre LCD Screen & Touch Screen, the most important point is to fix the LCD flex cable with adhesive tape to prevent breaking the ribbon. The other flex should also be adhered with adhesive tape.
