Samsung Memoir SGH-T929 Take Apart Video

The above video is a guideline about how to take apart the Samsung Memoir SGH-T929

Step 1: remove the memory card.

Step 2: remove the T929 battery door and the battery.

Step 3: remove the T929 back housing.

First, remove four screws on the T929 back housing. Make sure you unlock all the small clips that connect to the back housing. Then use a knife instead of the triangular tool to separate the back housing from the side cover/rail.

Step 4: remove the motherboard.

First, use a screwdriver or a magnet to remove the two screws fastening the motherboard. Then remove the antenna on the bottom. Because of the USB port, the Samsung Memoir SGH-T929 motherboard can only be lift from the left side. Pull it to the left, and then a flex cable underneath the motherboard will be seen. Disconnect it and now the motherboard is removed away.

Step 5: remove the digitizer and LCD.

Use a knife to cut off adhesives between the T929 digitizer and the middle plate. Then take the digitizer away. Lastly, use a knife to lift the T929 LCD.
