1. The T-Mobile g1, htc dream digitizer has an IC on the flex cable ribbon. Anti-static measures should be taken to protect the IC when handling the digitizer flex cable ribbon.
2. The T-Mobile g1, htc dream digitizer touch panel flex cable ribbon has to be bent 180 degrees during installation. Though the ribbon is supple it must be handled very carefully.
3. There is a connection slice rather than a buckle at the end of the htc dream digitizer ribbon. When installing the digitizer, push the slice into the port and press a little until it is fastened.
4. The T-Mobile g1, htc dream digitizer touch panel is adhered to the LCD with a dust preventative foam adhesive. When handling the digitizer touch screen be careful to protect this foam adhesive.

It is advisable to place the touch screen in an anti-static bag and wrap the anti-static bag with bubble wrap. The htc dream touch screen should be stored in a rigid box in order to prevent compression. When storing or shipping, it is important to protect the digitizer flex cable ribbon by packing each touch screen between rigid cardboard sections.
