Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

  

1.  I noticed I must purchase items in Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), is there any way to get around this?

If your final edited order total is $125.00 or more (before shipping fees), we will break the MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities)*. We have this policy in place in order to maintain positive margin and the consistent level of service and quality.  We have found that this threshold price is the price at which we can maintain these variables.
 
In order for us to edit your order, the following are instructions to create an order in our site without initially paying for it so that we can first edit your order's MOQs. 

You must create your order first, do not worry on the MOQs at this time.  Simply select each part you need and use the system defaulted MOQs in our site.  Once you are done filling up your cart, please "proceed to checkout". Upon entering your address information and completing the checkout process, simply pick "NONE" as your payment method from the dropdown menu and follow the prompts to complete the transaction.

This will create an unpaid order in our system and you will get a "Thank You for ordering . . . " order confirmation straight to your email as if you have paid, but no worries, you  have not.  Simply then forward your email confirmation to us at info@globaldirectparts.com  (Please DO NOT, reply to your confirmation) and detail what quantities you want edited. Please do this by overwriting the quantity wanted right on the confirmation itself. Or, alternatively, copy the product IDs to the top of your email and write the quantity wanted next to each ID. Please DO NOT request the changes by product description.   We will then send you a revised order confirmation showing the edited quantities and new order total. 
 
We can then charge your credit card (if you loaded one into our system), or if you prefer, you can login to your account and view your order history and you will see one unpaid order.  Then simply select it and tender out.

 

ALL PAID ORDERS CANNOT BE EDITED FOR MOQ CHANGES!!!!!!!!!! 

 

All requests for order edits must be received via email at info@globaldirectparts.com before 5 pm CDT (on business days) to be edited the same day**.

 

**=Orders containing any QuickShip (QS) items must be received by 1 pm CDT (on business days) to be edited the same day. Any unpaid order including QS items will be canceled at 3pm CDT.

 

*=Please note, certain parts are only available in quantities of 100 or more. These items require a full production run to manufacture the parts in order to fulfill the order. They are not available in lesser quantities, and the MOQs on these items, therefore, cannot be broken.  At times we have them available in smaller quantities, however, not always.


2.  What is the difference in transit times and cost between your shipping options?

Standard Shipping Options (for NON-QuickShip items ONLY):

Standard Shipping Options are calculated by the dollar amount of your order.

Flat Rate Option:

Flat rate shipping requires 5-12 business days for delivery*  (Business Days are Monday through Friday.  Weekends and or holidays are not included in shipment estimations.)

All orders paid after 5pm CDT will be considered paid on the next  business day and the delivery time frame will commence from that corresponding date paid.

*=The above shipping windows do not apply to batteries. Please read the "Shipment of Batteries" section below for details.

Ground Shipping Option:

Ground Shipping requires 4-9 business days for delivery* (Business Days are Monday through Friday.  Weekends and or holidays are not included in shipment estimations.)

All orders paid after 5pm CDT will be considered paid on the next  business day and the delivery time frame will commence from that corresponding date paid.

*=The above shipping windows do not apply to batteries. Please read the "Shipment of Batteries" section below for details.

Quick Ship (QS) Shipping Options:

All paid orders including any Quickship (QS) items cannot be edited, changed or canceled!

US Expedited Standard Overnight: (Must have QuickShip (QS) items on your order to select this method).  All Non QuickShip items will ship via our standard flat rate timeframe of 5-12 Business Days. All orders paid after 2pm CDT (Monday-Friday) will be considered paid on the next  business day and the delivery time frame will commence from that corresponding date paid. Holidays may delay QS shipping times.

US Expedited Two Day Air: (Must have QuickShip (QS) items on your order to select this method).  All Non QuickShip items will ship via our standard flat rate timeframe of 5-12 Business Days. All orders paid after 2pm CDT (Monday-Friday) will be considered paid on the next  business day and the delivery time frame will commence from that corresponding date paid. Holidays may delay QS shipping times.

Shipping charges for QuickShip (QS) items will appear as a surcharge on your order. These charges are in addition to the base shipping rate selected. If your order includes QS items, you must select from the above QuickShip Shipping Options at checkout. If QS items are on your order, and Flat or Ground Shipping is selected your entire order may be subject to the selected Flat or Ground Shipping time. The QS item surcharge(s) will NOT be refunded in these cases. Please email us PRIOR to tendering payment with any questions on this.

 

QUICKSHIP (QS) SHIPPING (i.e. 2  Day or Overnight) is NOT available for non-Quickship items. If a QS shipping method is selected it, in this case, it will NOT apply to your order.

QUICKSHIP (QS) SHIPPING IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ADDRESSES OUTSIDE THE US!!!!!!!

International Shipping:

All items orders (except batteries) shipped to destinations outside the continental US require approximately 8-21 business days for delivery. (Business Days are Monday through Friday.  Weekends and or holidays are not included in shipment estimations.)

Expedited shipping options are not available for destinations outside the continental US. If an expedited shipping option (i.e. two day or overnight) is selected, it will NOT apply to your international order. If Quickship (QS) items are selected, they will arrive in the standard 8-21 business day window and no refund will be given for the QS surcharge.

Shipment of Batteries

Many major shipping carriers do not allow the shipment of batteries. This delays the shipment, sometimes resulting in a longer shipping window than detailed in the standard shipping section. Expedited shipment of batteries is never available. If you have additional items on your order those will arrive first and the batteries will follow, although an exact time frame is not guaranteed.

3. I have seen "QuickShip (QS)" on your site, what is this?

QuickShip is an option available on many of the parts we sell. These parts are available for Overnight and Two Day Air Expedited Shipping.  When purchasing parts, you will see “QuickShip” and “Non QuickShip” Options.  If you select the QuickShip option and a message appears notifying you that the item is out of stock, this means all QuickShip stock is sold out for this part and you must select the Non QuickShip item to purchase that part.  You can also find all of our QuickShip items in one place if you look under the QuickShip Parts Section in blue at the top of the Global Direct Parts Header Banner.

Please note these important policy points when ordering QS items:

QuickShip Items are only available currently to Domestic Customers within the continental USA.  While International customers can select QuickShip items and purchase them, they will not be shipped any quicker than our standard international freight transit time stated in our terms of use page and site policy.  

Orders with QuickShip items must be paid by 2 pm CDT (Monday-Friday) to begin processing the same day. Orders with QuickShip items paid after 2 pm CDT (or on a holiday or weekend) will begin processing the next business day.  

All UNPAID orders with QS items that require MOQ edits (read FAQ, question #1) should be submitted for edits no later than 1 pm CDT so that we may edit the order and you may then tender payment by 2 pm CDT to ensure it ships the same day.

If an order containing any QuickShip (QS) items (wholly or in part) has been paid for already, we cannot cancel or edit the order under any circumstances!

All Non-QuickShip items ordered in conjunction with QuickShip (QS) items will ship via our standard freight transit times (5-12 Business Days).

Prices for QuickShip (QS) Items will vary and may be more expensive than Non QuickShip Items. Prices on QuickShip items may change at any time without notice.

Global Direct Parts reserves the right to change or modify or discontinue QuickShip Service or any part of QuickShip Service at anytime, either temporarily or permanently with or without giving prior notice to our customers.


4. What is your Warranty policy?

All parts are sold under warranty unless otherwise noted in the product page description.  Replacements will be issued for any warranted non functioning, inherently defective, or incorrect part received by our customers

We require that customers fill out and submit a  WEA-Warranty Exchange Authorization (click here to view WEA request form) within 30 days of receipt of product.  All WEA requests received after 30 days of receipt by the customer will be denied.

Return of original product prior to part replacement is mandatory (and is at the customer's expense). Global Direct Parts will conduct independent third party verification testing on all warranty claims before shipping replacement parts.  If upon careful and professional inspection, returned parts are found to have been damaged by the buyer, or are found not to be defective or incorrectly claimed, the parts will be returned to the customer with an notice that their Warranty Exchange Authorization has been denied.  All approved warranty exchange authorizations will take up to 4 weeks for delivery of replacement parts.

Our  Warranty Exchange Authorization (WEA) process must be followed in order to have parts considered for exchange. Please do not return parts without a Warranty Exchange Authorization (WEA) or the claim be automatically denied.

Returns and exchanges are not available. Our products are warranted against inherent defects, however, due to the delicate nature of electronic parts we do not accept returns or exchanges. Please email us if you have product questions before placing your order.


5. I noticed some of the products on your site are listed as "OEM" and some are not, what is the difference?


We differentiate between "OEM" and "Aftermarket" by doing one simple thing.  All parts on our site that are true OEM, will have the words "OEM" as the leading word on all product titles.  If this word is not present, it is not OEM! We believe in doing business the right way and ethically. 

We are not saying that aftermarket parts are not worth buying or are not often very good economical alternatives, however, we do not intentionally misrepresent the items that we sell.


6. Is everything on your site in stock?

Everything is in stock on our site, unless otherwise stated on the product page, but there are times when your order is being processed that a part or parts on your order can fail our outbound quality control process.  We cannot always anticipate for this, but you are notified via email when this does occur. Again, while it does not occur often, it typically happens on very hard to find parts that are in high demand. On occasions when this does happen, it will result in a backorder. Please see our Terms of Use policy page for rules and requirements on backordered parts prior to ordering.


7. I did not receive everything on my order, what happened?

Orders are often split shipped if batteries are ordered or a combination of non-QuickShip and Quickship items are ordered. Also, orders may ship from multiple warehouses separately. Additionally, there are times, when a part or parts on your order can fail our outbound quality control process and we must procure additional parts to fulfill your order.  Usually this is not felt by our customer as the parts come in the same day we are processing your order, but situations do occur where we must split ship your order.  We will notify you via email if this occurs and results in a backorder because a part(s) initially failed our outbound quality control program and we cannot immediately find qualified replacements. 


8. Do you offer wholesale discounts?

We currently have automatic level discounts in place (5% off on orders at $550+; 7% off on $1,050+). Additionally, we usually can offer volume discounts on 50 or more of any single item. Please click the Quotes link on our Homepage for details on pricing, and/or special requests for parts not currently offered in our online catalog.

9.  What is your policy on returns?

Returns and exchanges are not available. Our products are warranted against inherent defects, however, due to the delicate nature of electronic parts we do not accept returns or exchanges. Please email us if you have product questions before placing your order.

 

10.  What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and bank wire transfer. We currently do not offer payment terms. All orders must be paid-in-full prior to shipment of your order.

Please note:

Due to the high prevalence of credit card internet fraud we may, on occasion, refund  a credit card transaction and request payment via another accepted method.

All orders paid via PayPal must be shipped, per PayPal's rules, to the shipping address provided to us by PayPal. Please make sure the address selected when checking out on PayPal's site matches the shipping address you requested we ship your order to as inputted on your order. In the case of a discrepancy between these shipping addresses, we reserve the right to ship to the address PayPal instructs us to ship to without notification to the customer.

All orders paid by bank wire transfer must include an additional $22 USD to cover incoming wire transaction fees. If the full order amount, plus the $22 fee, is not received it will delay the processing of your order

 

11.  Can I apply for membership for your site?

 

To better serve our customers, we are now a members only site. As a wholesale distributor, we only serve cell phone repair shops, wireless retail stores, refurbishers, insurance companies, and other wholesale purchasers. We do not supply the general public or end users repairing their personal devices. If you qualify for membership (per the above qualifications) you may apply for membership directly on our site.

 

Please note, we accept only established businesses and qualified technicians. Currently we do not accept new or home based businesses or hobbyists for membership.

 

We reserve the right to deny or cancel membership to any party at any time. Please note, acceptance of our Terms of Use and Conditions Policies (http://www.globaldirectparts.com/Terms-of-Use-s/5466.htm) is mandatory prior to placing an order on our site. Claiming ignorance of, or disagreement with, these policies subsequent to ordering can result in cancelation of your account membership. Please review these policies carefully and feel free to contact us as info@globaldirectparts.com with any question prior to ordering, however, emailed objections to a below stated policy does not constitute an exception.

 

12. Do you offer repair tools and/or installation instructions for the parts you sell?

Although we are a cellular parts supplier, we cannot in any way diagnose your device, advise you how to perform the repair, or as to which parts you will need to repair it. Only a cellular/electronic repair technician can do that with the phone (or other device) in hand. Due to the nature of electronic devices there can be hidden damage that cannot be seen without fully testing the device, so again, we recommend you seek the expertise of a cellular/electronic repair shop.

 We do offer basic tools used in cellular/electronic repair on our site, however, if you are undertaking the repair of your personal device, or are an inexperienced technician, please be advised you are doing so at your own risk. Global Direct Parts cannot in any way be held responsible for a negative outcome. Furthermore, if any part(s) you purchase from our site is damaged in the repair attempt, or if the part(s) purchased do not, in fact, correct the problem with the device, they are not returnable and the warranty does not apply.

Lastly, the "take apart videos" are for the benefit of trained technicians. We are not responsible for any damage due to inexperienced repair attempts. Global Direct Parts recommends that all electronic device repairs be performed by a qualified technician.
